Sony's
New Home Theater Sports Wi-Fi and More 
Sony
introduces a new high-end level of home theater receivers. The units have Wi-Fi,
six HDMI 1.3 inputs, a Playstation 3/PSP/Sony Bravia Xross Media Bar onscreen
interface, Faroudja DCDi cinema 1080p upscaling, XM and Sirius ready, a 100-watt
amp and a bluetooth receiver to stream music from other devices. The top model,
the STR-DA5300ES (shown) will be $1700 with lesser optioned models the 4300ES
for $1300 and the 3300ES for $1000.
Upscaling
DVD Player For Under $100! 
Helios
new H2000 DVD player can convert standard DVDs to 1080i and even MPEG2/4, DivX,
and XviD files can be upconverted. This slim unit outputs to HDMI, or VGA. The
Helios H2000 also outputs unprocessed 480i / 576i signals via the HDMI port if
you're sending it to an external video scaler. Due out August 2007 for the list
price of $99.
After
Guitar Hero Comes Rock Band 
There
has been some attention in the Playstation and Xbox arenas with the Guitar Hero
game utlizing a mock guitar to play along with rock songs. This has given some
of the interaction excitement typically only found in the Nintendo Wii. Continuing
on with the theme of interaction, the Rock Band kit has been in the works ans
soon to be released.. The
release dates for Rock Band have been floating for a while now and it looks like
the entire kit is now available for pre-order. You can purchase a bundle for either
the 360 or PS3 that includes the game, guitar, microphone, and drum set for $199,
although you'll still have to wait until November 20th to actually get it. The
whole lot is also available individually, with the game $60, the microphone $30,
and the drum set $80. You can preorder through Amazon and GameStop.

has a hit with the iPhone as people continue to flock AT&T stores. Stores

introduces surface computing. A sleek futuristic multitouch computer surface connects
automatically with Bluetooth devices as they are placed onto the table. Pictures
from your digital camera are shown on the surface, allowing you to spin them around
and enlarge them with the movement of your fingers. No more need for a keyboard
or mouse, everything is operated by touch screen with multiple finger operation.
